Although I noticed the RW Indians abroad started having this attitude that all world leaders started fearing Modi and that they are above all, like the labor who abused Islam in Saudi (kid you not) and got into trouble or the girl in Japan who said because of Mudi Ji she is safe from Japanese. Police officer here NAL, you can call 101 or report online if that would be any easier.

A police officer mostly trained in first attendance in sexual offences (varies by force) commonly called a FRO (first response officer) will contact you intially by phone and arrange to come and see you in person. They  will come out take your initial disclosure and collect any evidence from you such as screen shots of conversations ect.

The case will then be passed to dectives who will contact the SARC requesting your DNA and samples.

I've personally never heard of a SARC taking a statement and they wouldn't likely of done so it was likely just an initial disclosure in writing.

A DC will contact you to arrange a video recorded interview something called an ABE this is your video statement very common for sexual offences. 

After this is completed the police officer will look to interview the suspect (if known) which will either by via arrest if there is an arrest necessity or an arnaged interview under caution.

The last stages shall be forensic and evidence gathering which can take some time before being reviewed by a supervisor to see if there if sufficient evidence to provide to the CPS for them to make a charge decision.

CPS if decided will review the evidence and consider charges.

Sadly this can be a long process due to CPS having to get a specialist solicitor to review the case.

They are set up to support people in your situation. They are very good.
No pressure, just support, understanding and know how, about these processes.

If you are interviewed by police, you can ask for a specially trained officer. Sapphire units etc.

As it’s not a recent event, police time pressures for serious crimes (which can result in untrained officers blundering through processes) is less likely.
It’s okay to have someone to support you. This can be a therapy professional or other.

It’s in everyone’s interest to ensure you feel safe and the facts are gathered professionally.
